Objective: investigateing the clinical character and prognostic factors. Methods: the clinical data in 87 dermatomyositis or polymyositis patients and prognosis were retrospectively. Results: by statistical analyzing, highly significant difference(P<0.01) exists in age, fever, arthralgia, dysphagia, Gottron rash and heart diseases beyond muscle symptoms of PM/DM patients with or without ILD. Highly significant difference(P<0.01) exists in laboratory test index: the level of LDH, ESR and IgG Statistical significance (X2=5.35,P<0.02) exits in survival curve between patients with or without Gottron rash , between patients with or without Gottron rash and between PaO2<65mmHg and PaO2>65 mmHg in PM/DM patients with ILD. the live time of patients without heart involvement and pulmonary fibrosis is 3.804 times and 3.089 times of patients with the complications. Conclusion: . the occurrence of ILD closely correlates to female, older age(=40 years), fever, Gottron rash and arthralgia . Gottron rash heart involvements pulmonary fibrosis PaO2<65mmHg and ADM are fatal risk factors.
