Iron deficiency anemia is common in the Chinese population, especially in women and children, it has been a serious threat to the physical health of our residents. So in 2003 Iron-fortified soy sauce project started to promote application in China.the aims of the project is to absorbable more iron and to reduce iron deficiency anemia the prevalence rate by intake iron fortified soy sauce. Jilin Province officially launched the project in 2005.Based on the analysis of monitoring date of the women hemoglobin monitoring results and the Questionnaire survey in four areas of Jilin Province for three years , We can understand the effect of the promotion, Provide the experience of the promotion for the next step. The results of the analysis is : the promotion had made a great progress in four monitoring region,especially in panshi city. The overall prevalence rate of anemia in four monitoring region is 26.36%,The overall level of hemoglobin is 124 g·L-1,The prevalence rate of anemia in four monitoring region is reduce to 22.25%,and The level of hemoglobin is increase to 126.8 g·L-1 in 2006. The prevalence rate of anemia in four monitoring region is reduce to 18.31%,and The level of hemoglobin is increase to 128.8 g·L-1 in 2007. the woman anemia prevalence rate is decline and The level of hemoglobin is rise. Compared with the anemia prevalence rate of the crowd Consumpting of iron fortified soy sauce and the crowd not eating iron fortified soy sauce. The results showed that iron anemia prevalence rate of the crowd Consumpting of soy sauce crowd was significantly lower than that of the crowd not eating iron fortified soy sauce .the hemoglobin levels of the crowd Consumpting of soy sauce crowd was significantly higher than that of the crowd not eating iron fortified soy sauce. It indicate that it can effectively improve iron deficiency and reduce the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia in high-risk groups of Iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia by Consumpting iron fortified soy sauce. It reflect the rise in blood hemoglobinThrough health promotion intervention, the study population has increased nutrition knowledge about iron, the knowledge of iron deficiency and iron deficiency have a markedly enhanced. it had enhanced the acknowledge of iron and soy demand in the crowd to a certain extent.
