The epidemic and spread of AIDS has been a great problem to the health of people, and has affected the development of social economy. The total number of HIV infectors in China is 214,300 by July of 2007, among which there are 56,758 AIDS patents and 18,246 death cases. From January to June in 2007 the accumulated number syphilis infectors is 98,424. At present, there is neither effective vaccine to prevent AIDS nor medicine to cure it. The vital prevention way is publication and behavioral intervention to high risk population.MSM is the high-risk group of AIDS because of their multiple sexual partners and unprotected intercourse. A quite number of MSM have set up their homes or have herterosexual partners in China. So they are bridge populations that make common people infect HIV and make the further spread of AIDS. Therefore, for MSM, prevention of AIDS / sexual diseases has important meaning. Objective: to know the infectious status of AIDS and syphilis in MSM; to know the social demographic characteristics and the behaviors of MSM; to study the influence of intervention measures to high-risk behaviors of MSM; to carry out some suitable intervention measures and search for a comprehensive mode for prevention and treatment of AIDS in MSM.Method: According to the different location and population scale from which contact people of MSM come, quantitative sampling and snowball are adopted. Having screened and got the permission, the qualified interviewee made two questionnaire investigation and collected 5ml venous blood to test HIV and syphilis antibodies of MSM contact population in 2006 and 2007 in Changchun. The data is input by the means of Epidate software to set up a database and analyzed with SPSS 13.0 software.Result: HIV and syphilis infection ratio is 5.2% and 20.1% in 500 MSM in 2007, 1.5% and 11.4% in 408 MSM in 2006. It is statistically significant for single factor analysis of HIV infectious factor of MSM contact population whether MSM had sex with female in last six months in 2006 and condom is used in the last sexual behavior in 2007. Age, marriage status and whether using condom when having anal sex make sense in single analysis of syphilis infectious factor of MSM contact population. There are separately 5 and 1 drug addicts among the interviewees in 2007 and 2006, and no HIV and syphilis infection are found. Conclusion: Compare with 2006, the HIV infection ratio of MSM increases and the syphilis infection ratio decreased in 2007. Whether using condom and having sex with woman are risk factors of HIV infection; age and marriage status are risk factors of syphilis infection. It has certain effect on MSM to lead to safe sexual behavior and carry on health education. However, the publication and intervene should be enhanced to decrease the occurrence of HIV and syphilis in MSM contact people.
