Objective: To study the relation between plasma Hcy level and conventional risk factor of CHD in ischemic cardiomyopathy patients. By measured the plasma Hcy level of ischemic cardiomyopathy patients,s, We can forcast their risk factors early. Take effective measures to decrease Hcy level, it will delay the extent of atherosclerosis, reduce the occurence and development of CHD,improve ischemic cardiomyopathy patientss clinic symptoms and prognosis.Methods:Forty-eight ischemic cardiomyopathy patients and twenty-five controls were recruited to participate the study. The plasma levels of Hcy were measured in all subjects. The relations between Hcy and cigarette smoking, diabetes, hypertentions, age, sex, blood lipid were analyzed. Plasma total Hcy were measured by fluorescence polarization immunoassays (FPIA). The data of conventional risk factors of CHD were analyzed with logistic regression.Results:(1) The level of Hcy in the patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy was higher than that in the control group; (2) There were no relations between Hcy and cigarette smoking, diabetes, hypertentions, age, sex, blood lipid; (3) By muitivariate non-conditional Logistic regression analysis, cigarette smoking, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and Hcy were risk factors of CHD.Conclusions:Cigarette smoking, hypertension, hypercholester olemia and Hcy were positively correlated to ischemic cardiomyopathy, and the plasma homocysteine level is not related to the conventional risk factors of CHD, it is an independent risk factors of CHD. Hcy has strong relations with ischemic cardiomyopathy.
