ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to investigate the varieties and concentrations of the ions separated from 6 species dental alloys which were infused into RPMI 1640,to evaluate the biocompatibility of these species dental alloys.According to the detection limit test,the marked recovery rate test and the precision test,it is verificated that ICP-MS can be utilized to research the biocompatibility of the dental alloys.Material and MethodsThe wax patterns made by self-made self curing plastic pattern,then casted Au alloy,Ag-Pd alloy,Co-Cr alloy(crown),Co-Cr alloy(frame)and No.2 alloy following traditional methods.The 6 species dental alloys were infused into RPMI 1640,extract the leaching liquors at various time.Mixed the environmental standard liquor and 6 kinds of sole element standard liquor to confect the mixed standard liquor,made the work curve,took In,Sn as the internal standard elements to compensate the systemic error caused by matrix effect,determined the concentrations of 6 species of the leaching liquor samples by ICP-MS total-quantitation method.Took the Ni in the leaching liquor sample of No.2 alloy for example,undertook detection limit test, precision test and marked recovery rate test.Data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 11.0.Result1.The total amount of ions determined in each leaching liquor of alloy groups Determined the total amount of ions in the leaching liquors at the 7thday,Ni-Cr alloy group>Ag-Pd alloy group>No.2 alloy group>Co-Cr alloy(frame)group>Co-Cr alloy(crown)group>Au alloy group.Therefore,in the view of the total amount of ions,we can infer that No.2 alloy owns excellent biocompatibility according to this result.2.The verification of the feasibility of the ICP-MS methodTook Ni in the leaching liquor sample of No.2 alloy for example,the detection limit of ICP-MS was 3.24ng/L,the recovery rate was between 90%~109%and the CV was 2.96%.Conclusion1.According to the analysis to the leaching liquor samples of 6 species dental alloys,we can infer that No.2 alloy owns excellent biocompatibility.2.The ICP-MS method was convenient,rapid,sensitive and accurate,can analyze multielement continuously at the same time.Owe to these characteristics,the ICP-MS method was suitable to analyze the trace elements in the leaching liquor.
