Methods 86 infertile women were examined with SHSG and the combination of hysteroscope and laparoscope for examining the uterine cavity and oviducts. The results of the two methods were compared .Results Through SHSG, 58 normal uterine cavities and 28 abnormal uterine cavities were diagnosed. Through the combination of hysteroscope and laparoscope, 56 normal uterine cavities ,30 abnormal uterine cavities were diagnosed. Sensitivity is 80.00%, specificity is 92.86%. There was no statistically significant differences in the result of uterine cavity and oviducts between SHSG and the combination of hysteroscope and laparoscope. (P>0.05). Conclusions Saline infusion sonohysterosalpingography is simple, sensitive and inexpensive diagnostic method. The procedure is not time consuming, causes minimal discomfort to the patients.
