Physical fatigue is an inevitable physiological phenomenon while doing sports and a main obstacle to the achievement on sports. If it is not removed in time after exercise, physical fatigue may do harm to athletes' health and reduce their sports competence. In order to improve athletes' physical quality and achievement, reasonable supply of nutritious and constitutional material has been the focus of sports nutrition research.China, a country of rich silkworm pupae resources, has the long history for sericulture. Silkworm pupae are effective for the amelioration of hepatic adipose infiltration, diabetes and cancer. It is also used to increase immunity, the activity of Superoxide Dismutase, a superoxide and peroxidization of anti-adipose materials. These effects are related to alleviate physical fatigue. However, the component of silkworm pupae are complex and the effective part for physical fatigue alleviation is still uncovered. The protein content of a silkworm pupae accounts to 60 per cent. Till now no research has been reported about physical fatigue alleviation from the protein in silkworm pupae. Therefore this research makes an observation on the application of the protein in silkworm pupae for physical fatigue alleviation, and explores its causes, provides scientific foundation on the resources development of protein in silkworm pupae and the application of nutritious constitutional material for sports.1 Effect of the Protein from Silkworm Pupae relieve Physical FatigueMale Kunming mice were divided into four groups respectively:①distilled water control group;②1.7 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group;③3.3 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group;④5.0 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group; Measured body weight of mice every week during experiment. After orally administered for 30 days, loaded swimming time, blood lactic acid, glycogen in liver and serum urea nitrogen were determined.The results showed that the initiate weight, the end weight and weight gain of the three Protein from Silkworm Pupae group were no difference with the distilled water control group. The loaded swimming times of mice in the 5.0 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group were significantly longer than that in the group of distilled water control (P<0.05). The blood lactic acid before, 0 minute after swimming in the three Protein from Silkworm Pupae group was significantly smaller than in the group of distilled water (P<0.05). The blood lactic acid before, 20 minute after swimming in the 3.3 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group was significantly smaller than in the group of distilled water (P<0.05). The area under the blood lactic acid curve in the group of 3.3 g/kg.bw and 5.0 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae was significantly smaller than those in the groups of distilled water (P<0.05). glycogen in liver contents of mice in the 3.3 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group were significantly higher than that in the group of distilled water control (P<0.05). The Protein from Silkworm Pupae can alleviate physical fatigue in mice.2 Mechanisms of the Protein from Silkworm Pupae relieve Physical FatigueMale Kunming mice, divided into groups and dosages are the same with the first part. Amino acid content, the five kinds of organ coefficient (spleen coefficient, liver coefficient, kidney coefficient, pancreas coefficient, apermary coefficient), red blood cells and hemoglobin contents, anti-hypoxia ability and wound healing time.The results showed that the Protein from Silkworm Pupae is abundant in Amino acid. The five kinds of organ coefficient of the three Protein from Silkworm Pupae groups were no difference with the distilled water control group. Red cells and hemoglobin contents of mice in the 1.7 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group were significantly higher than that in the group of distilled water control (P<0.05). wound healing time of mice in the 1.7 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group were significantly lower than that in the group of distilled water control (P<0.05). Anti-hypoxia ability of mice in the 3.3 g/kg.bw the Protein from Silkworm Pupae group was significantly higher than that in the group of distilled water control (P<0.05).In conclusion, through supplying the material of synthesize red cells and hemoglobin, improving histanonxia and aerobic capacity, promoting granulation, the Protein from Silkworm Pupae can alleviate physical fatigue in mice.
