| Background:In these years mental disorders of children and adolescents have been attracted attention to psychiatrists and other related researchers.Child and adolescent schizophrenia is one of the most concerned psychosis.The studies have indicated that there are some differences in clinical Manifestations between child, adolescent and adult schizophrenics.Objective:To explore the differences on clinical characteristics of schizophrenia that first onset in child, adolescent and adult period.Methods:The subjects were sampled from Shandong Mental Health Center in Ji' nan,Shandong Province.A basic information questionnaire,Positive and Negative Symptoms Scale(PANSS)and Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale(BPRS)were administrated to all subjects.According to the age,all the subjects were divided into three groups,70 cases in child group(age<14 years)and 89 cases in adolescent group(age ≥14 years and<18 years),and 161 cases in adult group(age≥18 years).The studies have indicated that there are some differences in clinical Manifestations between child, adolescent and adult schizophrenics.Result:①There were significant differences in prevalence of positive family history between child(41.4%), adolescent(25.8%)and adult(18.6%)schizophrenics.②The prevalence of auditory hallucination,visual hallucination and psychosensory disturbance in child and adolescent schizophrenics were all significantly higher than those in adult ones.③The prevalence of process disturbance of thinking and delusion were significantly lower in child and adolescent schizophrenics than those in adult ones.The total and factor scores of BPRS and PANSS were all significantly lower in child and adolescent schizophrenics than those in adult schizophrenics.④The prevalence of apathy was significantly lower,and anxiety and depression significantly higher in child and adolescent schizophrenics than those in adult ones.The lacking of reaction and depression factor scores in PANSS and the insufficient vigor,anxiety depression factor scores in BPRS were all significantly higher in child and adolescent schizophrenics than those in adult schizophrenics.⑤The prevalence of withdrawal and aggressive symptoms were significantly higher in child and adolescent schizophrenics than those in adult schizophrenics.Conclusion:The clinical characteristics of schizophrenia are related with the onset age.Child and adolescent schizophrenia has a higher rate of positive family history.There are more prevalence for disturbance of perception,anxiety depression, impulsive behavior,apathy and withdrawal symptoms in childhood schizophrenia than those in adult schizophrenia. |
