ObjectiveArticular is divided into diarthrodial joint and coarticulation. Diathrodial joint is complicated fairly, and diarthrodial joint is consist of articular cartilage, articular capsule and synovial fluid. The hip joint and knee joint belong to diathrodial joint (also called synovial fluid).The intervertebral disc belongs to coarticulation. The articular cartilage on the surface of diathrodial joint is hyaline cartilage, and its surface is in the synovial fluid.The process of development and aging on articular cartilage is related with nutrition and function of articular cartilage. For articular cartilage, the change of metabolism and function is related with the water molecular transmembrane transport. Water molecular transmembrane transport is taken by aquaporins.Aquaporins belong to major intrinsic protein. Up to now, the 13rd kinds aquaporins have been found in mammal body. AQP1 exists generally in organ and tussue Now, the report on the AQP1 in the articular cartilage is a littler internal and abroad, but expression and relation with age of AQP1 in the middle and old in articular cartilage is not reported. This experiment plan to observe AQP1 expression in articular cartilage and intervetebrial disc of the middle and old age mouse, and to study the relation with age.Material and methodThe hip joint, knee articula of maleness Wistar mouse was used at 3rd month, 6th month, 9th month, 12th month,15th month and 18th month after birth. HE method and immunohistochemistry were used.ResultThis test observe Expressive condition of different stage developments'rats whose arthrodial cartilage by AQP1 method. Manifestation as follow: all of the section background staining is clear,negative compare to the negative. Positive reaction of APQ1 is brown,major in cell membranes or cell-substance.the surface l ,middle layer and deeper layer layer cell of arthrodial cartilage all emergce positive reaction.in the surface cell,APQ1 express in the cell-substance;the deeper layer, APQ1 express in the cell membranes. With the moon's ages increasing,the surface layer express gradually descrease,but the deeper layer express non constat.APQ1express all in three parts, the center areo express more than the around areo in laminae terminalis of arthrodial cartilage,the growting cartilage also have expression,inner annulus fibrosus express more than the outer annulus fibrosus.the plasma in the nuclei gelatinosus express too, cell nucleus have no expression. With the moon'ages growing,different parts gradually express cut down.among them , the most change is laminae terminalis of arthrodial cartilage.Conclusion1.APQ1exist in articular cartilage of growing rats; 2.APQ1 were expressed in all parts of articular cartilage 3.the expression of APQ1 in superificial cells of articular cartilagedecreased with the increasing of moon'ages,but the changes is not manifest in deeper cells;4.the expression of APQ1 decreased with the increasing of moon'sages, and the secreasing most manifest in arthrodial cartilage of laminae terminalis.
