1 Effect of lanthanum(La) on immunity in ratsObjective To investigate the effect of feeding La(NO3)3 on lymphocyte transformation (LT),erythrocyte immunity(EI) and phagocytosis of peritoneal macrophages(PPM) in rats.Metheds Sixty-four Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into control, experiment groupⅠ,experiment groupⅡand experiment groupⅢ,administrated with physiological saline,La(NO3)3 at 0.1,2,20 mg/kg body weight respectively via gastric cannula,2ml per rat, once a day,for ten days(short-term) and thirty days (long-term).After ten days(short-term) and thirty days(long-term),LT,EI and PPM in rats were measured. Results Short-term influence:The levels of PPM in rats were significantly higher in the experiment group at medium-dose(2mg/kg body weight) La(NO3)3 than in the control group(p<0.05),while the level of LT and RC3bRR trended to rise in contrast with the control group(P>0.05).Long-term influence:the RC3bRR of the group at low dose(0.1mg/kg body weight) La(NO3)3 was obviously promoted compared with control group, the LT and PPM trended to rise in contrast with the control group, but did not reach significant level(P>0.05);the LT,RC3bRR.and PPM of the group at medium-dose(2mg/kg body weight) La(NO3)3 were obviously higher in contrast with the control group(P<0.05);The LT and PPM of the group at high dose (2mg/kg body weight) La(NO3)3 were lower than control group, but did not reach significant level(P>0.05).Conclusion Immunomodulating peptide derived from casein could promote daily food intake,up-regulate erythrocyte immunity and macrophagocytic function, and increase lymphocyte transformation in rats.La(NO3)3 could promote rat's immunity in some phase and dose.La(NO3)3 at medium and low dose fortified body immunity, but La(NO3)3 at high dose decreased body immunity.2 Effect of lanthanum(La) on incretion in ratsObjective To investigate the effect of feeding La(NO3)3 on triiodothyronine(T3), thyroxin(T4) and insulin in rats.Metheds Sixty-four Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly divided into control, experiment groupⅠ,experiment groupⅡand experiment groupⅢ,administrated with physiological saline,La(NO3)3 at 0.1,2,20 mg/kg body weight respectively via gastric cannula,2ml per rat, once a day,for ten days(short-term) and thirty days(long-term).After ten days(short-term) and thirty days(long-term),T3, T4 and insulin in rats were measured.Result The levels of insulin of experiment groups at three doses were markedly increased compared with control group in both short-term and long-term(P<0.05 ).Their level of T4 hadn't obvious change.Meanwhile, the level of T3 of group at low dose significantly increased compared with control group (P<0.05).Conclusion La(NO3)3 didn't obviously affect the secretion of thyroxine in rats.However,La(NO3)3 might promote the secretion of insulin in rats.La(NO3)3 also increased rat's T3 level in some phase and dose.3 Effect of fluorine(F) on incretion in miceObjective To investigate the effect of fluorin(F) on triiodothyronine(T3),thyroxin(T4) and insulin in rats.Metheds Eighty Kunming mice were randomly divided into eight groups, four groups for short-term experiment and other four groups for long-term experiment,10 per group. The four groups in both short-term and long-term experiment were control, experimentⅠ,experimentⅡand experimentⅢ.Mice of control group, experimentⅠ,and experimentⅡwere injected with physiological saline, sodium fluoride at 20mg/L and 200mg/L via peritoneal cavities, respectively.By peritoneal cavities, mice of experimentⅢwere injected with the solution containing NaF at 200mg/L and Na2SeO3 at 100mg/L.One rat was injected 1ml,once a day. After ten days(short-term) and thirty days(long-term),T3,T4 and insulin in mice were measured. Results In short-term,the level of T3,T4 and insulin were no obvious difference between group at low dose fluorin and control group(P>0.05).The levels of T4 and insulin of group at high dose fluorin were significantly increased compared with control group in short-term(P<0.05),while the level of T3 trended to ascend but did not reach significant level(P>0.05).The levels of T3,T4 and insulin of the rats which were injected with the solution containing NaF at 200mg/L and Na2SeO3 at 100mg/L was degressive compared with group at high dose fluorin in short-term.In long-term effects, the levels of T3,T4 and insulin had no obvious difference between group at low dose fluorin and control group(P>0.05).Compared with control group, the levels of T4 and insulin of group at high dose fluorin were higher in long-term(P<0.05),while the level of T3 was lower, but no obviously different(P>0.05).The levels of T3 and T4 of group with the solution containing NaF at 200mg/L and Na2SeO3 at 100mg/L increased compared with group at high dose fluorin in long-term,however,the level of insulin was degressive. Conclusions Fluorin at high dose might interfere with the secretive function of thyroid gland and islets in mice.It enhanced the secretion of thyroid gland in short-term, but inhibited the secretive function of thyroid gland in long-term.Fluorin at high dose might promote the incretion of islets in mice both in short-term and long-term.The changes of the secretive function of thyroid gland and islets were correlative with the dose of fluorin and time length of test.By supplying selenium, the secretive function of thyroid gland and islets trended to come back normal state from the disorder aroused by fluorin at high dose.
