Clinic Treatment Analysis Of Upper Urinary Tract Lithiasis In Children (in 52 Cases)

Purpose:To discuss the treatment of upper urinary tract lithiasis in children.Methods:we made retrospective analysis from clinic materials,including upper urinary tract lithiasis in 52 cases children aged from 3months to 8 years old.Results:Renal stone was 33 cases;calculus of ureter was 13 cases;Renal stone merging bladder calculus was 4 cases;calculus of ureter merging bladder calculus was 1 case;calculus of ureter merging calculus of retrourethra was 1 cases.Endoscopic management and operation were made on 24 cases and 5 cases,respectively;During endoscopic management was operated, it was changed into open operation happened in 1 case,and blood transfusion in 1 case because of bloodying,meanwhile there was no serious complication appeared.While pure ESWL was taken in 14 cases,that all appeared hematuria,but there was no any serious complication discovered and acquired an ideal clearance 78.57%on macadam within 2month.Stones were put out by itself in 1 case.There were 4 cases expecting Follow-up therapy.On one more 3 cases in postoperation combining ESWL treatment were all made a success,had no residual stone left.Conclusions:Either Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithqtripsy(ESWL) or Minimally invasive Percutaneous nephrolithotomy(mini-PCNL) is a considerable first-selected treatment for upper urinary tract lithiasis in children. Combining ESWL,URS,Mini-PCNL,and minimally invasive micro-incisions operation, etc.,all these comprehensive managements can play an important role clinically in stones clearance for upper urinary tract lithiasis in children.
