Objective: To summarize disease-free suvival after radical resection of pulmonary carcinoma and evaluate the influencing factors, analyse the risk factors for local recurrence and distant metastasis, and find the corresponding treatment. Methods: 222 cases of radical surgery for pulmonary carcinoma, stageâ… -â…¢A, were collected retrospectively in our hospital from Jan.2001 to Dec.2004.Evaluateion index was disease-free survival rate. SPSS 13.0 for windows software was used for statistics, data were examined using Kaplan-Meier and Log-Rank analysis. The Cox regression model evaluated the influencing factors on the disease-free survival rate. Binary logistic regression analyzed the factors for recurrence and metastasis. Results: In this study ,the median survival time was 43.1 months .The 1-, 2-,3-year disease-free survival rate was 72.2%,55.1% and 52.5% respectively. The histological type, p-TNM stage, adjuvant chemotherapy were associated with disease-free survival rate .A multivariate analysis using Cox regression identified 2 factors of prognosis: p-TNM stage and adjuvant chemotherapy. Binary logistic regression showed p-TNM stage was the only risky factors influencing recurrence and metastasis .Conclusions: P-TNM stage was closed ralated to disease-free suvival rate and recurrence and metastasis after radical resection of pulmonary carcinoma. Early diagnosis and treatment, supplemented by a standardized adjuvant chemotherapy, can make a longer disease-free survival.
