Effect Of Warming The Kidney And Downbearing Ministerial Fire On The Function Of Uterus And Ovary In Female Rats

Objective:Choose Yougui Wan which has the effect of warming the kidney, and Zhibaidihuang Wan with the effect of nourishing yin and downbearing ministerial fire, to study their effects on the function of uterus and ovary in female rats.Methods:1.The rats were divided into five groups randomly: the control group,group of Yougui Wan LD,group of Yougui Wan HD,group of Zhibaidihuang Wan LD,group of Zhibaidihuang Wan HD,. Afer 8 weeks, all rats were killed and the uterus and ovary were excised and weighted.The histomorphological changes of the uterus and ovarys were observed by the use of HE staining. Total ovarian number,height of endomembrane and thickness of muscular layer of uterus were calculated.2. The levels of hormones such as E₂ ,P and T in the serum of the blood were detected.Results:1. The wet weight of the ovary and uterus, follicular number,height of endomembrane and thickness of muscular layer of uterus of female rats in Yougui Wan HD group were all higher significantly than that in control goup(P<0.05); The wet weight of the ovary and uterus, follicular number and thickness of muscular layer of uterus of female rats in Zhibaidihuang Wan HD group were all lower significantly than that in control goup(P<0.05).2. The levels of serum E₂ and P in Zhibaidihuang Wan HD group were all lower significantly than that in control goup(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Yougui Wan can increase the weight of ovary and uterus, follicular number, height of endomembrane and thickness of muscular layer of uterus of female rats. Zhibaidihuang Wan can decrease the weight of ovary and uterus, follicular number and thickness of muscular layer of uterus of female rats.2. Zhibaidihuang Wan can decrease the level of E₂ and P in female rats.
