| Objective To evaluate the relationship between caveolin-1 and renal cell carcinoma by detecting the expression of caveolin-1 mRNA in renal cell carcinoma tissue ,the tissue around tumour ,renal carcinoma cell line kert-3 and renal embryo cell line 293 .Methods Studied the expression of caveolin-1 in renal carcinoma tissue,the tissue around tumour,renal carcinoma cell line kert-3 and renal embryo cell line 293 by the way of RT-PCR,then analyzed the results by comparing its.Results The expression level of caceolin-1 in renal carcinoma cell line kert-3 was higher than in renal embryo cell line293.The expression of caveolin-1 were positive in 50 percent of renal cell carcinoma tissue,however, negative in all of the tissue around tumour.Conclusion There is a close relationship between caveolin-1 and renal cell carcinoma. According the results,the caveolin-1 can be used in the diagnose and treatment of renal cell carcinoma.
