Statistical Analysis Of Facial Morphous Characteristics On Five Minorities In Northern China

Objective:. Observation and analysis of the five minority in northern China (Mongolian, Korean, Kazaks, Uygurs, Hui race) crowd facial image information, such as face, camber, spacing of brows and eye, nasion, etc.19 other index, to try to find the national characteristics of the face, to help establish relevant information library of facial reconstraction.Methods: According to the fifth national census data, 100 healthy adults (man and women) were selected among the 5 northern minorities groups over 1 million people respectively. Then take equal picture, X-ray photograph frontal and laterally. Their facial morphous should be surveyed and analyzed with 19 indexes definitived. Choosing 5 indexes readily ,such as cheekbone part, degree of nasion introcession ,to observe the correlativity between bony five sensory organs and the facial fives sensory organs. Finally, make tabulations and statistics for the obtained datas, with contrast and calculation, analyzing the existence difference whether or not among races and gender.Results: There are greatly resemblant facial features and the distinctions among different races and gender. Such as , Mongolian men have more square face; Mongolia fold in the Mongolian in a rate is very high; nasion introcession of Hui race man is less than the other race; Korean men are less wide mouth; Mongolian, Kazak and Uighur women have slightly more the wide mouth; Mongolian men and women have more the convex lips than other race, and so on. Men have more square face than women. Women have more oval and round face. Double eyelid proportion of women is higher than that of men . Nasion introcession men aer more than women. The proportion of men convex back of nose are higher than that of female. The proportion of men valgus mandibular angle is higher than that of female. Square chin male are more than female. Goodness of fit between the bony five sensory organs and facial five sensory organs of the 5 races is almost 100%.Conclusions: Analyzing the statistics dates and information comprehensively, there are many concomitance points about the facial morphous of the five minorities crowd in northern china, but many differences. Almost 100% goodness of fit between the bony five sensory organs and facial five sensory organs of the 5 races have proved their concordance and associativity.
