Objective:This research plans to detect the express of multidrug resistance gene (MDR1)and breast cancer resistant protein gene(BCRP)of tumor before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy CEF and "Taohong Siwutang" or "TMP" programme (CTX:0.5g/m2 + EPI:80mg / m2 +5- FU:0.5 g/m2),then analyses the correlation between the chinese medicine that activating blood circhlation to dissipate blood stasis with MDR1 and BCRP,aiming to conclude the value of using chinese medicine that activating blood circhlation to dissipate blood stasis with neoadjuvant chemotherapy,then provid reference for selection of chemotherapy.Methods:In clinical research,60 breast Cancer Patients with syndrome of blood stasis who visit in the Primary Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM from November in 2005 to March in 2008 were observed,4 of them wre lost.The remaining patients who were confirmed by pathology were randomly divided into three groups:24 in the Taohong Siwutang and chemotherapy group,15 in the TMP and chemotherapy group,17 in the chemotherapy alone group. Extraction of breast cancer,including before and after chemotherapy access, was used to extract the total RNA.Then use RT-PCR to detecte the expression of MDR1 and BCRP.Nextly analyze an impact of the "Peach Siwutang" and the "TMP" on MDR1 and BCRP,in the course of chemotherapy.Results:①Positive rates of BCRP before treatment in Taohong+ chemotherapy group,TMP+ chemotherapy group and chemotherapy alone group were:28%,27.3%,30%,there is no significant difference in every two groups in three groups.(P>0.05); positive rate of MDR1 before treatment each group was:32%,27.3%,20%there is no significant difference in every two groups in three groups.(P>0.05);②Positive rate of BCRP after chemotherapy each group were:0%0%35%,after treatment,positive rate of MDR1 were:4%,9.1%,50%; ③Compared Taohong group with TMP group,(P>0.05),it does not have significant difference;compared these two groups with the chemotherapy alone group,Positive rates of BCRP and MDR1,both have significant differences (P<0.05);④Positive rates of MDR1 and BCRP before and after treatment in the Taohong group have significant differences(P<0.05);positive rates of MDR1,BCRP before and after treatment in the TMP Group declining Notably,after testing,they have significant difference(P<0.05).Expression of MDR1 before and after treatment in Chemotherapy alone group has a significant difference (P<0.05),but expression of BCRP non-significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:After testing the expression of MDRI and BCRP between every two groups, This has come to the conclusion,that promoting blood circulation decoction "Taohong Siwutang" and proprietary Chinese medicines,"TMP" assist neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer,can have a certain role reversal to multi-drug resistance MDR1 gene and breast cancer resistant protein BCRP, the application of Chinese medicine that activating blood circhlation to dissipate blood stasis,can significantly improve the sensitivity of chemotherapy.Between the taohong Siwutang and chemotherapy group with the TMP and chemotherapy group,there was no significant statistical difference in effect.
