AimTo explore a proper treatment program of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).MethodsCollect the materials of 14 patients whom was checked in our hospital from Dec 2003 to Oct 2006 with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP),including induced factors, general clinical data, cure rate, treatment(medical conservative treatment, endoscopic therapy, operation),hospitalization time, and so on,and evaluate the effect of treatments.ResultOf all the 14 patients,13 were cured, while 1 auto discharged because of multiple system organ failure. The cure rate of the 6 patients recepted operation was 83.3%and the average hospitalization time was 37.9 days. The cure rate of the 6 patients recepted non-operative treatment(including medical conservative treatment and endoscopic therapy)was 100%and the average hospitalization time was 37.4 days. Conclusion The treatment of SAP should establish double track system, including operation and non-operative treatment, and form individualized therapy. So the patients should be treated by conservative treatment as soon as possible in the early stage of SAP.But when finding the serious infection around pancreas or obstruction of biliary tract or abdominal compartment syndrome, the operation should be done in time.
