Objective:To investigate the expression of cancer testis(CT)antigens MAGE-A1 and OY-TES-1 in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and to correlate their expression patterns with clinicoparameters. To provide some data for diagnostic tests and preparation of immune preventive and therapeutic productions of NPC.Methods:Using MaxVisionTMimmunohistochemistry method to analyze the expression of MAGE-A1 and OY-TES-1 in 57 cases of NPC that have been definited by pathological diagnosis. The minimus is 23 years old,the eldest is 76, in UICC.TNM criteria 25 cases belong to gradeâ… -â…¡while 35 cases belong to gradeâ…¢-â…£.The variation of each protein expression and the correlation with clinicoparameters were analyzed furtherly with PASS11.5 statistical software and statistical methods.Results:1.Expression of MAGE-A1 and OY-TES-1 proteins was observed in 36 cases(63.2%)and 43 cases(75.4%)respectively of 57 cases of NPC.46 (46/57,80.7%)expressed at least one antigen,33(33/57,57.9%)expressed two antigens.2.Their expression in NPC have no relationship With sex, age,TNM grade and whether metastasized or not.Conclusions:MAGE-A1 and OY-TES-1 proteins express in NPC obviously. They may highly correlate with NPC and be used as serum markers in diagnostic tests of NPC.
