Objective:The aim is to discover the problems in dealing with emergency poisoning accidents, meet the demands of emergency poisoning accidents management and improve the ability of emergency response through investigation and evaluation on ability of emergency poisoning rescue. At the same time, evidences on constructing rescue system of emergency poisoning accidents and standards of clinical staff and medical equipments were offered.Methods: Design different close questionnaires according to different sanitary institutions (hospitals and centers for disease control and prevention) and medical staff. Sanitary institutions and medical staff were investigated in terms of roles played during handling emergency poisoning accidents, ability of emergency responses and deficiencies in dealing with emergency intoxication. Result: According to the results, there were mainly three deficiencies inprevention and rescue of emergency poisoning accidents in Suzhou city, such as shortage of medical staff, inadequacy of emergency response material reserves, incompletion of emergency rescue system and deficiency of rescue drillings.Conclusion: In order to improve the ability to deal with emergency poisoning accidents and construct a consummate emergency rescue system, the financial investment of medical departments should be increased and financial ensure institution should be established. At the same time, emergency poisoning rescue system in the whole city need be constructed in time, especial for construction of a systematic, scientific, dynamic information platform of emergency poisoning rescue. In addition, aiming at different kind of emergency poisoning accidents, we should establish different emergency rescue protocols, increase quick detection equipments and individual protective devices, enhance the reserves of special antidotes, and reinforce emergency rescue trainings and drillings of medical staff.
