Objective:To utilize the small intestinal intubation skill and the Multi-Slice computed tomography (MSCT) scan, to design and judge which of the three contrast angents can fully distend the intestinal canal, and can demonstrate the enteric cavity and intestinal wall in Computed Tomography (CT) enteroclysis.Methods:After 8 healthy grown-up Beagles were anesthetized, leaded by the guide wire and intubated to reach the Treitz ligament of duodenum,then injected 654-2 through venous, infused the contrast agent of pure water through the catheter (the total quantity is 480ml) , the MSCT plain scanning and enhancement scanning were given them. A week later, to use the same method, infused the contrast agent of pure milk through the catheter (the total quantity is also 480ml); Another week later, the contrast agent of 10mL/L angiografin (the total quantity is also 480ml) is given to use the same method. To measure the width of the enteric cavity and the thickness of the intestinal wall through the cross section and multiplanar reconstruction, then do statistics analysis. To measure the CT value of intestinal wall of plain scanning and 20 second,30 second,40 second,50 second after enhancement scanning, To calculate the CT value difference scope when the enteric cavity and intestinal wall had the best contrast extent at the same time. The CT images were analyzed and scored by two experienced radiologists to use the blind method.Results:All the Beagles finished the small intestinal CT Enteroclysis. To compare the pure milk group with pure water group and angiografin group, it has the statistical significance about the enteric cavity width (F = 28.115,P<0.01),and it has not the statistical significance of the pure water group and angiografin group. But it has not the statistical significance about the thickness of the intestinal wall of the three groups.The CT value difference scope was 69.25±6.28HU when the enteric cavity and intestinal wall had the best contrast extent.Conclusion:The pure milk is an ideal contrast agent of the small intestinal CT Enteroclysis which can distend the intestinal canal fully, and can demonstrate the enteric cavity and intestinal wall best at the same time.
