| Background: The majority of studies about the neuropsychology of depression have confirmed that the patients with depression exhibited general sleep disorders(SD), especially in directions just like earlier waking-up, extended fall-asleep-time, descended sleep quality, difficult to keep sleeping and slept-feeling deficiency et al. Many factors affect the dyssomnia of depression patients. Age factor, which is associated with progressive age, affects sleeping by aging and hypoxemia. Therefore, regards to depression patients with different age-scale, the clinical feature and severity degree of their sleep disorders are different. But to now, few has systemic studied the dyssomnia within different ages.Objective:1.To explore the sleep quality of depressive disorder patients, and investigate the dependablity between their SD degree and depressed level, and to compare characteristics in depression patients with different age.2.To explore the correlation between age and dyssomnia, and the clinical feature of latent depression patients.Method:1.We used 17-item Hamilton Rating Scales of Depression (HAMD) to divide subjects into depression group and control group, then divide them into 3 groups(20-40,41-60 and≥61) by practical age. And we investigated the sleep status of 6 groups by the questionnaire of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI).2.The study used a two-by-three factorial design, to compare the differences of PSQI total-score and the each-factor scale between 6 groups. We analyzed data via the statistical software of SPSS version 11.0. Result:1.For all subjects, the practical age and depressed-or-not are two chief influential factors to affect sleep quality.2.In the PSQI total-score, MANOVA revealed the main effect on age and depressive state within all subjects, but no interaction was revealed between two main effects.3.In depression group and control group, MANOVA revealed a noticeable age solo-effect. It was shown a significant statistically difference, the old depressed patients performed more badly than the young and middle aged patients.4.In direction of 7 factors within PSQI, MANOVA revealed a significant age-depression interaction and the main effect on age and depressive state. And there's solo-effect of age in depression group, senile patients were worse than young and middle aged patients.5.In 7 factors about each age class subjects, MANOVA revealed solo-effect of depression equally.Conclusion:1.The sleep quality has the tendency to get worse by age increasing.2.Comparing with same age-class, the sleep disorder degree of patients with depression is worse than it in health adults.3.The depressive disorder patients in different age class are all in condition of sleep disorder, and the degree of dyssomnia in elder patients is worse than that in the young and middle-age.The situation of old depression patients in directions of sleeping time, sleeping efficiency, dyssomnia and using somnifacient is obviously worse than that of young and middle-age patients. |
