At the post-modern times, human beings have a new definition of occupation. It has caused an increasing occupational stress, which has made occupational burnout become the hot subject in lots of fields, such as psychology, organizational behavior, management of human resource, etc... Doctor is one of the most attractive topics among the earliest research on occupational burnout. As the fast growing economy of domestic market and the sustaining revolution of medical system in China, there'll be a profound significance of the research on occupational burnout among the domestic doctors. The thesis aims to present the current situation of occupational burnout among doctors, explore its correlates on demography, work environment and organization, and analyze the relationship between society and burnout among doctors. 740 doctors were investigated by Chinese Maslach Burnout Inventory, Job Demands and Decision Latitude, Distributive and Procedural Justice, Cross-Cultural Role Conflict, Ambiguity, and Overload, Work Interference with Family and Family Interference with Work, Social Support and the questionnaire about social factors of occupational burnout among doctors produced by ourselves. At the same time, their demographics and work environment factors were also collected. The results show that the state of burnout among doctors is comparatively serious, 32.2% doctors experience mild burnout, 36.8% moderate burnout, and 8.0% severe burnout; 48.8% subjects are suffering Depersonalization (Dp), 45.3% Reduced Personal Accomplishment(RPA), 35.5% Emotional Exhaustion (EE). There are significant differences of the burnout on sex, age, marital status, educational background, hospital's grade, division, professional title and career time. Work interference with family, family interference with work, distributive justice, role conflict and age can significantly predict doctors' EE. Family interference with work, role ambiguity, family support, career time, workload and sex can significantly predict doctors' Dp. Role ambiguity, work interference with family, job control, family interference with work, family support, sex, procedural justice and workload can significantly predict doctors' RPA. Currently, doctors generally perceive less legal defense, high social expectations, insufficient returns on both economy and emotion, and the fierce conflict of values, which can also explain the growing burnout among this group. By analyzing the influential factors, we give some suggestions on preventing and interfering doctors' burnout from social and organizational directions.
