Clinical Research On Treating Essential Tremor With Electroacupunctur

Objective: To provide a new method for treating Essential Tremor (ET) through investigating the effect of Electro acupuncture on patients suffering from ET.Methods:46 cases of ET were evenly divided into two groups, a treatment group and a control group. The treatment group were treated with acupuncture plus, and the control group were treated with propranolol. After treatment of 6weeks, the therapeutic effects were assessed with six tasks scores.Results: The total effective rate was 87% in the treatment group and 56.5% in the control group. And the difference of the clinical effects between the two group was obvious(P<0.01). Conclusion: The combination of acupuncture is better than simple propranolol in therapeutic effect on ET.
