Epidemiological Study On Injuries Among Armed Police Forces And Precautionary Measure Studies

ObjectiveThis paper describes the regular pattern and characteristics of injuries happened in a certain provincial Armed Police Forces and explains the affection of injuries to armymen's health.By analyzing some reasons and relations,the paper provides proofs and countermeasures to prevent and control injuries among the Armed Police Forces.Methods:cross-sectional study and nomatching case-control study1.cross-sectional study:the author takes simple random sampling method and stratified sampling,stratified by the mission and the character on duty,then drawing out 3367 armymen in 18 squadrons by random sampling.2.Nomatching case-control study:the author gets case and controls from a provincial Police Armed Forces by random sampling method.The case collected from 1^stJune,2005 to 31^stMay,2006 of injuries of a certain provincial Police Armed Forces are altogether 1051,cases are chosen according to domestic unified standard of injuries,There are three standards of injury:(1)took treatment in hospital and diagnosed as one kind of injury;(2)aided by family members,teachers,colleagues and accompaniers;(3)leaved more than a half day because of the injury,except non- injuries 2316,un-harmed armymen make up the control group in the same squadron and periods.3.Data analysis methods:SPSS 11.5 sotfware is uesed to analyze and R×C table chi-squre test is applied to analyze categorical variable data,use pearson x² to test analyze categorical variable data;logistic method is utilized to analyze the effect factors of injuries,in it,the entry level is 0.10:the removal level is 0.05. Results1.The proportion of a certain provincial Armed Police Forces injuries incidence rate was 31.2%per year;Training injury incidence rate was 23.9% per year;Non-training injury incidence rate was 12.4%per year.2.The occurring of injury were different in four seasons,The incidence rate of injuries in April was the highest.The rate in September was the second. The rates in December was the lowest.Training injury incidence rate in April,May,September were higer than other months;Non-training injury incidence rate in May,july,August,September were higer than other months; 65.9%officers and soldiers were injuried in training,next for droped injury, obtuse/sharp injury,the rate of electricial injury and poisoned were extremely low.injury occured in the lower limb was high,next for the upper limb,occured in face were the least.Most injuries belong to minor wound, seriously injures and cripples were rare.3.To analyze effect factors of injuries among officers and soldiers:there are many influencing factors,the main influecing factors in Training injury are type of work,personality,psychological factor,social factor,anamnesis, chronic disease,self-health appraises,the influecing factors in non-Training injury arethe place you lived before enlists,type of work,character, psychological factor,social factor,anamnesis,chronic disease,self-health appraises.Conclusion1,We can find some regular pattern in time,place and crowd.Training injury incidence rate in April,May,September were higer than other months; Non-training injuries most occure in May,july,August,September.Training injury most occured in barracks,Non-training injury was in the opposite.New recruits,Low educational background arymen and those who came from city were easier injury in military training,the armymen who came from rural area and had more chances contact society were easier injury.2,the main influecing factors in training injury are type of work,diet and living conditions,conflicting between the comrade,working with sickness, feeling tired in work,take risks to enter dangerous area,A type behavior character,self-health appraises;The influecing factors in non- training injury are type of work,character,psychological factor,wounded,chronic disease,anamnesis,diet and living conditions,conflicting between the comrade.3,The Armed Police Forces should pay high attention to injury's precautionary work,establish the injury prevention management organization system,establish injury monitor system,carry out disease burden research of training and non-training injury,strengthen tendency research of injuries,promptly summary the injury reasons and the dangerous factors, proposes the effective precautionary measures.SignificanceIt's good for us to master pattern to control and ensure safety in training,get the first-hand data,and so that we can analyze the relationship between all kinds of reasons and injuries,discuss the effect factors of training and non-training ingyry,provid scientific and precise basis for taking predicted measure and controlling injuried accident to avoid similar occurrence.
