OBJECTIVE:The study results indicate:Abnormality of coagulation fibrinolysis is one of important biological characteristics in malignant tumors and the relationship to the proliferation, invasion, metastasis and clinical stage have been recommended. Hypercoagulabale state is the common cause that the thrombosis of the patient with malignant tumors occurred. We study the relationship between abnormality of coagulation fibrinolysis and node metastasis, hormone receptor and pathological TNM stage in breast cancer, and elucidate whether abnormality of coagulation fibrinolysis is an important factor impacting on tumor biological behavior.METHODS:The plasm levels of six coagulation-fibrinolysis indexes:Prothrombin time(PT),Activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),Fibrinogen(FIB),D-dimer(D-Di), Tissue type plasminogen activator(t-PA),Plasminogen activator inhibitor- 1(PAI-1)were measured in 30 patients with breast cancer.Study the relationship between the changes in indexes and node metastasis, hormone receptor, proliferation, pathological TNM stage in breast cancer.RESULTS:(1)Changes of coagulation-fibrinolysis indexes in malignant and benign diseases of Breast:No significant difference existed between the benign tumor group and malignant group of plasma APTT and t-PA levels(P>0.05).There was statistically significant difference in the compared with the their FiB,D-Di(P<0.05)and PAI-1(P<0.01).(2)The relationship between all the parameters with axillary lymph node metastasis, The expression of Ki67 and C-erbB-2:APTT,D-Di and t-PA were no significant changes at various axillary lymph node metastasis, the expression of Ki67 and C-erbB-2(P>0.05). There was statistically significant difference in the metastasis group than that in the nonmetastasis group of plasma FIB levels(P<0.01).Significantly higher levels of PAI-1 in the patients with lymph node involvement(P<0.01)or the high-expression of Ki67(P<0.05).(3)The relationship between all the parameters with hormone receptor status:No significant difference existed various hormone receptor status, except t-PA(P<0.05).(4)The relationship between all the parameters with the different pathological stages(TNM):The relationship between APTT,FiB,D-Di,PAI-1 Content of breast cancer were statistically significant difference between various TNM stages, except Pt and t-PA.CONCLUSION:Coagulation-fibrinolysis indexes were related to the proliferation, invasion, metastasis and clinical stage of breast cancer and it can serve as an important marker for predicting biological behavior and prognosis of tumors.
