OBJECTIVE:To investigate the expression of hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α) and connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) in human nephritis.METHOD:Selecting 55 patients' renal biopsy organism specimen randomly and detecting HIF-1a and CTGF protein by immuno histochemistry,to observe the difference about expression of HIF-1a and CTGF in nephritis.RESULTS:(1) CTGF positive immunostaining was obsqrved mainly in swollen proximal tubuler epithelial cells' s plasma and the proliferative epithelial cells' s plasma in crescents,CTGF was expressed differently in different type of nephritis(p<0.05).but CTGF was expressed has no difference in different type of IgAN(p>0.05).(2) HIF-1αpositive immunostaining was mainly in distal tubule epithelial cells' s nuclei and fibroblasts' s nuclei in renal interstitium; HIF-1a was expressed differently in different type of nephritis too(p<0.05).HIF-1aexpressing has no differece in different type of IgAN(p>0.05).(3) most cells expressing CTGF markedly do not express HIF-1a,the same phenomenon is that most cells expressing HIF-1αdo not express CTGF too Both CTGF and HIF-1αcan be positive immunostaining in same tubule epithelial cells, but both weakly. The expression of CTGF was negtively correlated with the expression of HIF-1αin 55 patients' s kidney is negtive(kendall Correlation Analysis,r=-0.346,p<0.01).CONCLUSION(1) the expression of CTGF is different in different type of nephritis; But the expression of CTGF has no different in different type of IgAN.(2) HIF-1a was expressed differently in different type of nephritis; But the expression of HIF-1a has no different in different type of IgAN too.(3) CTGF was negatively correlated with HIF-1αin kidney disease.
