| With the development of city and the contraction of family pattern, there are more and more Sensory Integrative Dysfunction (SID) children. Most of previous researches focus on describing the status, clinical behavior, intervention approaches, intervention effect and analyzing the correlation. There is few a long-term tracking research, case study and social work intervention research on SID children. Based on a social worker's experience of serving SID children, this research applies participation observation and interview, aiming to find out social work intervention strategy which can help effectively the SID child. This research is an exploratory tracking study of social work intervening SID children.The service objective is a child from Sensory Integration Training Center in Xiamen .The interview process was executed in Kangle Community, Xiamen. The service intervention strategy based on systems theory, asks social workers to join the resources of family, school, companion and relative, to improve the communication and interaction between SID children and environment as strengthening children's sensory integrative abilities. The theoretical contribution of this research is to modify ecological systems theory. When joining the resources, social workers must pay special attention to the willing, the interest, the ability of each subject so as to transform the tension to the motivation of action. |
