As one of the cerebral senior function, learning memory had quite complex biological mechanisms. As was recognized by all, fitting and long-term athletics training promoted learning memory. However, the intensity at which athletics training promoted learning memory most and whether excessive athletics was still beneficial to learning memory capability, as well as the mechanisms, need further research. Effect of different athletics intensity on learning memory capability of mouse and apoptosis status of hippocampus'cell were studied in this experiment through athletics training of different intensity to Wistar rats. The experiment executed athletics training of low intensity (15 mins per day), medium intensity (30 mins per day) and high intensity (60 mins per day) to Wistar rats with 300-400 g weight through swimming. Eight weeks later, learning memory capability test by"Y labyrinth"was carried out for the three athletics training groups rats and no athletics training control rats. The rats were killed after 3 days continuing training. The expression of c-fos of hippocampus was examined by S-P immunohistochemistry method. The number of the group with medium intensity training(M) for the standard learning is smaller than the control group(C)(p<0.05),and the group C's number is smaller than the group with high intensity training(H)(p<0.05).In the memory capacity testing, group is errors is more than group M(p<0.05)and less than group H(p<0.05).The results showed that athletics training of different intensity produced different effect on rats'weight. Fitting training intensity was in favor of rats'healthy growth and made the weight steadily increased. Excessive training would harm the organism, even reduce the weight. Different athletics intensity produced different effect on learning memory capability of rats. Athletics training of low intensity had no effect, fitting intensity promoted learning memory capability and excessive training reduced learning memory capability of rats. Long-term fitting athletics training can make the expression of c-fos of hippocampus arrived to a appropriate numerical value and promote rat's spatial learning and memory capacity, although excessive athletics training can also increase the expression of c-fos of hippocampus , but it may result in other pathological changes and produce a certain ocstacles on learning and memory capacity of rats.
