Meta-analysis Of Comparing Between Operation And Non-operation Treatment Of The Intraarticular Distal Radius Fracture

Objective To compare operation and non-operation treatment of the intraarticular distal radius fracture by Meta-analysis.Method The literature,published in online MEDLINE and china national knowledge intrstructure in English or Chinese from 1988-2008 which compare between operation and non-operation of the intraarticular distal radius fracture,were collected.To deal with the data by Meta-analysis,comparing with wrist joint function,reduced X-rays position,complications and patient satisfaction.Results five literatures involving 590 cases were included.Operation treatment can improve the reduced X-rays position(OR=0.45,95%CI(0.25-0.82),wrist joint function(OR=0.35, 95%CI(0.17-0.72),p=0.004),and the rate of complications(OR=0.32,95%CI(0.14-0.75), however patient satisfaction is not better than non-operation(OR=0.45,95%CI(0.27-0.75), p=0.002).Conclusions The operation treatment is the better ways for the intraarticular distal radius fracture,on the while the requirement and eXpectation is very important.
