Objective:To compare operation and non-operation treatment of the distal radius fracture by A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.Methods:The literature, published in online MEDLINE and china national knowledge infrastructure in English or Chinese from1990-2013which compare between operation and non-operation treatment of the distal radius fracture were collected. To deal with the data by Meta-analysis, comparing with ranges of motion, grip strength, and Green and O’Brien score Radiographic results (dorsal tilt, radial inclination, and radial shortening). Results:five literatures involving370cases were included.operative Treatment group was180and Nonoperative Treatment190cases, there was no significant difference between the2groups for ranges of motion, grip strength, and Green and O’Brien score. There was a significant difference between the2groups for Radiographic results, Dorsal angulation is better in operative Treatment group than Nonoperative Treatment group Radial inclination and Radial length is better in Nonoperative Treatment group. Conclusion:At final follow-up, there was no significant difference between the2groups for ranges of motion, grip strength, and Green and O’Brien score. At final follow-up, there was a significant difference between the2groups for dorsal tilt, radial inclination, and radial length.
