Objective:To observe the correlation between TG levels and the extent of the coronary artery lesions of patients with Type 2 Diabetes.Methods:508 Type 2 Diabetes patients underwent for coronary angiography were divided into three groups according to the TG levels:group 1(n=244,TG<1.6mmol/L);group2(n=78,1.6≤TG≤2.2mmol/L);group3(n=185,TG>2.2mmol/L).Results:(1) Multiple Regression-Correlation Analysis showed that TG levels were significantly correlated with following factors:TG(r=0.489,p<0.001),BMI(r=0.119,p<0.05),TC(r=0.765,p<0.001) and HDL(r=-0.192,p<0.001).After controlling other factors in the Multifactor Correlation Analysis, correlation between TG levels and coronary score was also exist(r=0.4681,p<0.001).(2) The number of one-vessel CAD in group lwas significantly more than that in group 2 and 3(45.1%vs28.2%vs8.6%,P<0.050).But three-vessel CAD in the group 3was significantly the most(50.8%vs23.1%vs11.5%,P<0.05).(3) The number of coronary arteries that had at least ninety percent narrowing in group 3 was significantly more than in group 1 and 2(61.6%vs29.5%vs10.1%,P<0.05).(4) Among all of the narrowing coronary arteries, the anterior descending coronary artery was the vessel most frequently involved, followed by RCA,LCX,LM.(5) The coronary score of group 3 was significantly higher than group 1 and 2(4.95±2.342 vs 9.03±3.542vs13.7±4.043,P1.2,P2.3<0.05,P1.3<0.001).Conclusions:(1) TG is a independent risk factor of CHD.(2)With the TG levels increasing, the total number of the narrowing coronary arteries will also increases, and the coronary artery lesions will be more and more serious.
