Objectives: To analyze the effect of ultrasound-guided percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI) on alcohol-metabolic enzymes and liver injury on organizes of Nearby cancer of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) by monitoring the change of alcohol-metabolic enzymes,ALT and AST in peripheral blood before and after the therapy of PEI.Method: 30 patients with HCC that cured by PEI were enrolled experimental group, On the other hand, 20 persons who did outpatient medical examination were selected as control group without tumor and liver disease. Two groups'peripheral blood were adopted to evaluate the change of ADH,CYP450-2E1,ALDH,ALT,AST and AFP before and after the therapy of PEI.Results: The ADH,CY P450-2E1,ALDH levels of experimental group before PEI were statistically higher than those of control group, and the differences had statistical significances (P<0.001).The actives of alcohol-metabolic enzymes of experimental group are higher than that of control group (P<0.001); the actives of alcohol-metabolic enzymes of experimental group after PEI are higher than that of before PEI (P<0.001),especially the third. After the fifth,it degrades gradually,but still higher than that of before PEI. The ALT and AST levels of experimental group before PEI were statistically higher than those of control group, and the differences had statistical significances (P<0.001).The actives of alcohol-metabolic enzymes of experimental group are higher than that of control group (P<0.001); the actives of alcohol-metabolic enzymes of experimental group after PEI are higher than that of before PEI (P<0.001),especially the third. The AFP levels of experimental group after PEI were statistically lower than before PEI, and the differences had statistical significances (P<0.001)Conclusions: The ADH,CY P450-2E1,ALDH levels of experimental group before PEI were statistically higher than those of control group, and PEI has certain injuries to alcohol-metabolic enzymes.To monitor ALT and AST levels of experimental group,wo can find out liver injury on organizes of Nearby cancer.
