Diabetes is a chronic,common,frequently-encountered disease,it merge a variety of complications, and microvascular disease is a major complication of diabetes, and is the pathological basis of variety of complications. Fundus microvascular disease in microvascular disease is particularly important, fundus retinal microvascular pathological changes in the microvascular expansion, diffuse hyperplasia, intima, adventitial cell damage, basement membrane thickening, partial vascular obstruction, arteriovenous shunt caused by retinal ischemia.Central retinal artery(CRA) is the only arterial supply to the retina,it is also the terminal branch of the ophthalmic artery, and the changes in blood flow can be further reflected in the case of diabetic retinopathy. Understanding of the characteristics of its hemodynamic can provide an important reference for clinical value. The detection method of central retinal artery include the following: 1.Fluorescein fundus angiography ,FFA 2. Color Doppler ultrasonography 3. Ophthalmoscope. The specific circumstances of a variety of detection methods and their advantages and disadvantages will be in the details.
