Objective To investigate the effects on the edema around the hematoma in acute hypertentive intracerebral hemorrhage.Method This was a retrospective analysis of study of 92 inpatients with hypertentive intracerebral hemorrhage, from June,2005 to December,2007. The basic information, blood pressure data, CT images of these inpatients were collected, hematoma volumes and edema volumes were calculated from CT images. Logistic regression analysis was performed in the above data of age, course, antihypertentive drugs, dehydrating agents ,blood pressure, hematoma volumes and edema volumes.Result Amlodipine(OR=0.219,95%CI=0.068~0.704)ACEI antihypertensive agents (OR=0.295,95%CI=0.094~0.932)were protective factors of edema round hematoma, course between 10 to 20 days (OR=6.070,95%CI=1.217~30.268)and poor controlled diastolic pressure(OR=7.251,95%CI=1.245~42.227)were risk factors. There was not significantly correlated with between systolic blood pressure, pulse pressure, mannitol, nimodipine and edema volumes around hematoma. Conclusion Amlodipine and ACEI antihypertensive agents can lower the risk of edema round hematoma in intracerebral hemorrhage, poor controlled diastolic pressure and course between 10 to 20 days are negative factors. Rational using of antihypertensive agents could control acute phrase blood pressure steadily in intracerebral hemorrhage, was likely to have a good effect on edema around hematoma.
