The Perspective Studies On Changes Of Quality Of Patients With Liver Tumor Before And After Radiofrequency Ablation

[Objective]To determine the changes of the quality of life(QOL)in patients with Liver Tumor before and after radiofrequency ablation(RFA),and the impact factors.[Method]After operations,the life quality was regularly measured in 50 patients with liver tumor for 3 months by Gastrointestinal Life Quality Index(GLQI).[Results]The mean preoperative GLQI score was 106±8.5,It was significantly decreased to 95±8.6 score the 2nd week after the RFA(P<0.01).Thereafter the score gradually recovered to 106±9.0 score which reach the preoperative level in the 1st month(.P>0.05).In the patients who survived over 2 months,the score was 112±10.8,It was even higher than that before the RFA(P<0.05).It was improved from semiology,physiological functions mental status,living and social abilities by RFA.But mental status deteriorated at the level before RFA at the 3rd months.The age and preoperative liver function of the patients played an important role in the recovery of life quality in the 2nd weeks after RFA(P<0.05).The GLQI of the patients with tumor recurrence had been decreased obviously in the 3rd months(P<0.01).However,the time of RFA operation was not distinctness to the changes of quality of life for Patients during the following-up study.[Conclusion]To small hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),RFA will improve the patients'QOL obviously after the RFA during a short time.Tumor recurrence,poor liver function and age are the most important factors for poor quality.However,the time of RFA operation was not distinctness to the changes of quality of life for Patients during the following-up study.
