Acient Medical Literature Study About The Suitbale Diseases That Zu Sanli (ST36) Acupoints Can Cure

Objective:This study aims to provide theoretical and practical basis for spectrum of diseases that Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint can cure and clinical application and scientific research by summarizing and analyzing the descriptions of diseases that Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint can cure from ancient medical literatures. At the same time, to supply models for the study of other acupoints.Methods:Selected 63 sets of books which are superior to others as our study original version. Manual searching and machine retrieval were applied to these books to get descriptions of Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint.Then sorted the descriptions into two categories, the diseases that suitable for the applying of Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint only and the diseases that suitable for the applying of Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint with other acupoints.Then inputted the descriptions into the computer to establish our data bank.Then analyze the data again and sort them into 8 families such as Internal diseases of TCM,Chirurgery diseases of TCM,Gynecology diseases of TCM,Pediatrics diseases of TCM, ophthalmology diseases of TCM,Otorhinolaryngology diseases of TCM, Dermatology diseases of TCM,Orthopedics and Traumatology diseases of TCM and so on.Then brought forward the spectrum of diseases that Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint can cure By summarizing and analyzing the data we have got.Conclusion:Through our research ,we found that Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint alone can be applied to 30 kinds of diseases .The combination of Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint and other acupoints can be applied to 86 kinds of diseases.Eliminated 26 kinds of diseases that are repeated,we concluded that there are 88 kinds of diseases that Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint can cure and the supplied one kind of disease in medical records of clinical cases,the final result is that Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint can cure 89 kinds of diseases.At the same time,this study also summarized the aliases,the localization,the operational methods and the taboo diseases of Zu Sanli(ST36) acupoint and the remediation of medical accidents that are induced by other acuppoints were also referred.This research provides a model for the suitable diseases of acupuncture and moxibustion, especially for the suitable diseases of acupoints.
