Objectives:Discuss metabolic factors and metabolic diseases which affect the occurrence and development of benign prostatic hyperplasia and to explore its mechanism.Analysis the difference of lifestyle and dietary habits related to metabolic factors between different groups of rural people in Tianjin.Material and methods:a total of 832 elderly villagers information in nine rural districts of TianJin,containing metabolic factors(body mass index,blood lipids,blood pressure, blood sugar,metabolic diseases),urology related check information(PSA, testosterone levels,transabdominal prostate size,international prostate symptom score),metabolic factors and metabolic diseases related lifestyle and diet information (age,diet,spicy,high-salt diet,drinking,smoking,physical work) and so on.Make statistical and comparative study of these above.All descriptive data are reported as the mean±standard deviation(SD).The differences in the mean values between the ileal neobladderand the cutaneous diversion patients were analysed by Indipendent Samples T test,The data regarding the percentage were analysed by x~2 test.Significance was defined at the 5%level.The statisticResults:Total cholesterol(5.12±6.72 mmol/L),triglycerides(2.56±3.94 mmol/L),high density lipoprotein(1.19±4.73 mmol/L) in BPH group were all higher than control group(p<0.05);low density lipoprotein content of BPH group(2.17±3.16 mmol/L) shows no difference to the control group(1.52±5.23 mmol/L)(p=0.078),IPSS score BPH combined hyperlipidemia group(19.2±8.5) is higher than pure BPH group(p<0.05),prostate volume BPH combined hyperlipidemia group(51.3±61.4cm~3) and pure BPH group(47.9±59.3 cm3) there was no difference(p=0.258). BMI of obese group of IPSS score(18.5±12.8 cm3) is higher than pure BPH group (p<0.05);BMI of obese group of BPH prostate volume(54.5±26.2) is bigger than pure BPH group(p<0.05).The rate of Glucose patients with BPH group cases(43%) and normal group(39%) shows no difference(p=0.228);BPH group the value of fasting blood glucose(4.8±5.9 mmol/L) and normal group(4.9±4.4 mmol/L) compared with no difference(p=0.159).Diastolic blood pressure level and systolic blood pressure levels(134±89) of BPH group(87±37 mmHg) were higher than control group(p<0.05).And compared with pure BPH group,BPH with hypertension group IPSS score(18.2±9.5) and prostate volume(58.2±30.8 cm~3) was significantly higher(p<0.05).BPH patients with coronary heart disease group IPSS score(18.3±6.5) and prostate size(57.7±45.9 cm~3) were higher than pure BPH group and control group(p<0.05).Old age(>70 years):the rate of combined hyperlipidemia in the BPH group (77.6%),BPH with hypertension group(64.4%),BPH patients with coronary heart disease group(70.5%) is difference from the control group(p<0.05);the rate of people preferred meat diet combined hyperlipidemia in BPH group(74.9%),BMI for the obese BPH group(79.5%) is difference from the control group(p<0.05);The rate of high-Preferences of spicy salt diet combined with hypertension in the BPH group (60.7%) is difference from the control group(p<0.05).Conclusions:Iipid levels(hyperlipidemia),BMI indicators,blood pressure(hypertension), coronary heart disease with the occurrence and development of BPH is relevant in the rural area of Tianjin;blood sugar levels(diabetes) with the occurrence and development of BPH is not directly related to each other.Old age(>70 years), preferred meat diet,high salt preferences spicy food,alcohol,long-term manual labor is the common risk factors of metabolic disease(hyperlipidemia,hypertension, coronary heart disease) and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
