Objective: To evaluate the prognostic analysis of oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy followed by surgery for patients with colon cancer, and provide some theoretical guidance for assessing the clinical efficacy of colon cancer. Methods: Ninety-two patients of colon cancer receiving oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy followed by surgery in our department were analyzed from Jan,2003 to Dec 2007.The survival rate was estimated by Kaplan-Meier method. The prognosis factors were analyzed by univariate(log rank) and multivariate(Cox mode) analysis methods.Results:(1)The 1-,3-and 5-year overall survival rates were 82%,71% and 59%。(2)The univariate analysis showed that age, performance status, pathological differentiation, the number of lymph nodes, metastasis and clinical stage were statistical significance for poor prognosis, and there were differences of≥3 grade toxicity between performance status 0~1 and 2. In multivariate analysis, age, performance status and the number of lymph nodes were comfirmed as independent prognostic factors, among them, age was a protective factor. Conclusion: Some prognostic factors are associated with the prognosis.Age, performance status and the number of lymph nodes was associated with poor prognosis.
