Bronchial Asthma And Small Airway Inflammation

Bronchial asthma(asthma) is a chronic inflammatory disorder that predominantly involves the peripheral regions of the airways;and leads to variable and reversible airflow obstruction.Early small airway inflammation has an important role in the pathogenesis of asthma,to discovery small airway disease is a favorable way on diagnosing asthma in order to improve prognosis.This review summarizes the inflammatory cell and inflammatory factors,pathology,diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of small airway inflammation in asthma to help clinical work.
