Poria cocos is the arid sclerote of poria cocos(Sch.Wolf) which is a kind of mycetes belonging to Polyporaceae.It is admitted in Chinese Pharmacopeia(2005).Shengnong' s herbal regards Poria cocos as high grade medicine,which can excrete dampness,use diuretic of hydragogue to alleviate water retention,invigorate the spleen and calm down thecardia.Lots of documents report the major chemical compositions are polysaccharides and triterpens.Modern pharmacology research on poria cocos show that it can significantly regulate immune function,repress tumor,has anti-inflammatory function and so on.The material basis of Poria cocos' pharmaco-function is researched on in this paper,while the bioactivity of polysaccharides(degraded polysaccharides and Carboxymethyl -polysaccharides),the alcohol extracted,the acetic ether extracted,n-butanol extracted and the remaining water is sieved.Tracing the pharmacological results,the active parts and the major chemical compositions are ascertained.13 componds are separated from Poria cocos,and 10 of them are identified.They are Pachymic acid(1),Ergosterol(2),β-sitosterol(3),3-0-acetyl-16α-hydroxydehydro-trame tenolic acid(5),Trameteno-lic acid(7),Dehydropachymic acid (9),Dehydrotumulosic acid(10),poricoic acid CM(11), Lanosta-7,9(11),24-trien-21-oic acid,3-hydroxy-,(3β)-(9C1) (12),Dehydroeburicoic acid(13)。By Pharmacological Screening, 4 componds including Pachymic acid,Lanosta-7,9(11),24-trien-21-oic acid,3-hydroxy-,(3β)-(9C1)etc have the capacity to inhibition immunity,it's of meaningful to explain the pharmacodynamics basic material of Poria cocos.Reference to the 2005 edition of "Chinese Pharmacopoeia",give the Poria cocos a systematic study,Add the Inspection of heavy metals, arsenic salt inspection,pesticide residues in check,TLC,HPLC etc which have not been received by the standard.Laid the foundation for the drawing up a complete quality standard of the Poria cocos.Also provide a reference for adding a quality controlling Standard for the Poria cocos in the reprinted "Chinese Pharmacopoeia".
