Therapeutic Effect Observation On The Herpes Zoster With Electric Acupuncture And Round Acupuncture

Objectives:The incidence of herpes zoster increased in recent years and patients suffering great pain and a very high percentage of patients have left various degrees of PNH.Acupuncture has the advantage of migigation the pain.there are a lot of theories about the mechanism. This study observed the clinical effect of promotion the formation of crust and mitigation the pain of herpes zoster with electric acupuncture and round acupuncture.Methods:80 patients selected from the sections of acupuncture and moxibustion department of Wuhan Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital were equally randomized into electroacupuncture group (treated with electric acupuncture,round acupuncture and "Zhigou"(SJ6),"Houxi"(SI3) for 30min)and medicine group (treated with valaciclovir hydrochloride and vitaminB1).TO study the clinical effect including the time of the formation of the crust and the score of VAS.Furthermore,recruited 40 normal volunteers.The Course was 10 days,and observed after treatment follow-up 22d,30d,60d,90d.In experimental part of this study the contents of IL-2 were measured.Results:1.Comparison of effect between two groups:Electroacupuncture group cured 37cases.The total effective rate was 92.5%;the medicine group was 67.5%,and cured 27 cases.Significant differences were seen in comparison between the two groups in therapeutic effect(P＜0.01).2.comparison of VAS score in different groups:comparison between the two group in pain scores after treatment showed significant difference(P＜0.01),electroacupuncture group better than medicine group.3.incidence of a PHN:observed after treatment by 30d, electroacupuncture group were significantly lowered when compared to that of medicine group(P＜0.05).4.comparison the time of the formation of the crust more than 50%: electroacupuncture group were significantly shorter than medicine group(P＜0.01).5.comparison the content of IL-2:the content of IL-2 in electroacupuncture group were significantly highered when compared to that of before treatment(P＜0.01).Conclusions:1.electroacupuncture therapy significantly attenuates the pain of HZ patients,excels in improving the symptoms and promotes the neural functional rehabilitation,and serves to lower the PHN rate.It is an efficient method of treating HZ.2.Both electroacupuncture and medicine have affirmative effects in treating HZ patients.After one course the obvious effective rate of electroacupuncture Group is 70.00%,with the total effective rate 92.50%,and of medicine Group,respectively 37.50%and 67.50%.The statistical analysis showed significant difference between the two groups.Both of the two group could reduce the pain and electroacupuncture group better than medicine group.Furthermore,comparison the time of the formation of the crust,electroacupuncture group were significantly shorter than medicine group.3.After electroacupuncture treatment the content of IL-2 obvious increased and have significant difference between before (P＜0.01),nearly have no significant difference between the normal group(P＞0.05).it showed that acupuncture treatment can enhance immune function.It's may be the possible way of acupuncture treatment herpes zoster...
