The Study Of Pathogenesis And Correlative Pathological Factors Of Depression From 116 Cases

Objective: We analysed the difference about general informations, symptoms, grades of HAMD and tongue appearance from different cards, in view of the basic pathogenesis about yang-qi blocks and mind maladjustment, discussed the pathogenesis and correlative pathological factors further more, provided some methords for prevention of depression, which are based on the instruction of professor's clinical experience of depression treatment. Method: Through collecting the ancient and modern literatures of depression, we summaried all previous doctors' views about the sickness names, shortcomings and pathogenesis of depression,then collected the clinical informations of depression patients, used statistical methods such as f-test and chi-square analysis, analysed the difference about gender,age,disposition,grades of HAMD, symptoms and tongue appearance between different cards, discussed the pathogenesis and correlative pathologic factors under the theory of TCM. Result: There are obvious difference in gender between different patients, and the morbidity ages are also different for different gender; there are also some difference in the grades of symptoms and HAMD, disposition and tongue appearance,at the same time , tongue appearance and partly symptoms are related to different cards named "Yang-qi depression and spirit concealment syndromes"\"Yang-qi depression and spirit regression syndromes" \"Phlegm-heat disturbing spirit"\ stasis-heat disturbing spirit.Conclusion: Spirit regression due to Yang-qi depressing is primary pathogenesis of depression, the main reason of depression is mainly in the heart and are most related to liver\kidney\spleen\stomach and lung,in the transformation of pathological prosess, different pathological substances about phlegm-heat and stasis-heat turn up, the appearance of different pathological substances,complex the patients mental and physical symptoms, some obvious difference can be used to distinguish different cards ,for example: the feeling of dry and thirty, grades of symptoms and tongue appearance.
