Objective: The study subjects Liu-shen-wan to tumor (in advanced esophageal cancer) patients, as well as ascites H22 mice transplanted tumor inhibition to explore the antitumor mechanism of Liu-shen-wan. Methods: The clinical study of 21 cases in some selected patients with advanced esophageal cancer were randomly divided into observation group (chemotherapy + Liu-shen-wan group) and control group (chemotherapy group), one of the observation group 11 cases, 10 cases of the control group, two groups were treated 2 course of treatment, compared between the two groups before and after treatment lesion size, clinical symptoms, body weight, KPS score, as well as changes in toxicity. Part of animal experiments to observe Liu-shen-wan ll anti-tumor effect in vivo, using immunohistochemical techniques, the main anti-tumor angiogenesis from the point of view, to explore its anti-tumor mechanism. Results: The clinical study confirmed that Liu-shen-wan can inhibit the tumor in patients with clinical lesions and improve the clinical symptoms, but in general improvement and toxicity has not been significant difference; experimental study has confirmed: Liu-shen-wan can effectively inhibit H22 ascites transplanted tumor MVD , VEGF, and PDGF expression..Conclusion: Liushen pill not only can inhibit the malignant clinical lesions and improve the clinical symptoms, but also anti-tumor angiogenesis through channels such as the implementation of anti-tumor effect with chemotherapy drugs, can produce synergy.
