The Effects Of BLyS And Its Receptor BAFF-R In The Development Of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective:To analysis both the level of serum B lymphocyte stimulator(BLyS) and B cell-activating factor receptor(BAFF-R) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA). To investigate the correlate of BLyS with BAFF-R and the correlate of the two indicators with inflammatory indicators such as DAS,ESR,CRP,RF,ACCP,Ig.And to investigate their valuable in clinical practice.Try to find a special and sensitive biologic factor to help the diagnosis of RA,to predict the prognosis and to evaluate the therapy effect.Try to provide clues to reveal the pathogenesis of RA.Methods:To collect 30 inpatients with RA during Mar 2008 to Nov 2008 and 20 healthy controls.The anticoagulant blood was marked with fluorescence and was detected with flow cytometry and the serum was detected with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and detect the two indicators after therapy.Meanwhile collect the data of DAS,ESR,CRP,Ig,ACCP,RF before treatment,the result was dealt with SPSS.Results:1.There was difference in the mean serum BLyS between RA and healthy controls.,P＜0.05.2.There was difference in the mean membrane- combined BAFF-R on B lymphocyte between RA and healthy controls,P＜0.05.3.There was correlation between membrane- combined BAFF-R and serum BLyS,P＜0.05.4.There was difference in the mean serum BLyS between the two groups that whether accept treatment,P＜0.05.5.There was difference in the mean membrane- combined BAFF-R on B lymphocyte between the two groups that whether accept treatment,P＜0.05.6.There was correlation between BLyS,BAFF-R and serum IgG,ESR,CRP, RF,ACCP.,P＜0.05;There was no correlation between BLyS,BAFF-R and the course of disease,serum IgM,IgA,P＞0.05.Conclusions:1.The serum level of BLyS and the mean membrane- combined BAFF-R on B lymphocyte was significantly increased in RA patients depending on the disease activity 2.The serum level of BLyS and the mean membrane-combined BAFF-R on B lymphocyte was significantly descended after treatment in RA patients,so they may give some directions to RA prognosis,and may evaluate the therapy effection.3.The serum BLyS and membrane-combined BAFF-R on B lymphocyte in patients with rheumatoid arthritis may participate in the disease,they have correlation with the activity of RA.They could judge the activity of RA and could evaluate the effect of treatment in some degree.They could be used as one of the targets of therapy.
