Objective: This experiment detected and compared the content of N-pentamerin protein-3(PTX-3)in the serum of patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and healthy people, and analyzed its correlation with C-reactive protein(CRP),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),rheumatoid factor(RF),anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody and Disease activity score 28(DAS28 score). Methods: In this study,117 inpatients who were first diagnosed as RA and were hospitalized in Shengjing Hospital affiliated to China Medical University were selected as the RA patient group, the hospitalization period was from February 2022 to January2023,and 110 patients who were hospitalized in Shengjing Hospital affiliated to China Medical University for physical examination at the same time were selected as the healthy control group.Make statistics on the general data of the two groups of subjects and analyze whether they are comparable.ELISA was used to test the amounts of PTX-3in the serum of RA patients and healthy control groups, and the DAS28-ESR score of RA patients was calculated.According to the DAS28-ESR score results, the differences of PTX-3 expression level in the serum of different DAS28-ESR groups were compared, and the relationship between the level of PTX-3 in RA patients and the levels of CRP,ESR,RF,anti-CCP antibody,DAS28-ESR was analyzed. Results: The PTX-3 in RA patients was greatly greater than that in healthy group(P<0.001).The PTX-3 in RA patients was positively related to DAS28-ESR score. The PTX-3 in serum of patients with high disease activity was greater than that of patients with moderate disease activity, low disease activity and remission group(P<0.01).The PTX-3 in serum of patients with moderate disease activity was greater than that of patients with low disease activity and remission group(P<0.01).The PTX-3 in serum of patients with low disease activity was greater than that of remission group(P<0.01).The PTX-3 in serum of RA patients was positively related to CRP(r=0.564,P<0.01),ESR(r=0.674,P<0.01),RF(r=0.418,P < 0.01),anti-CCP antibody(r=0.575,P <0.01),DAS28-ESR(r=0.776,P<0.01);the PTX-3 in serum of male RA patients was positively related to CRP(r=0.684,P<0.01),ESR(r=0.656,P<0.01),RF(r=0.656,P <0.01),anti-CCP antibody(r=0.651,P<0.01),DAS28-ESR(r=0.856,P<0.01);the PTX-3in serum of female RA patients was positively related to CRP(r=0.502,P<0.01),ESR(r=0.713,P<0.01),RF(r=0.347,P < 0.01),anti-CCP antibody(r=0.651,P < 0.01)and DAS28-ESR(r=0.740,P<0.01)Conclusion: Compared with the healthy group, the PTX-3 in the peripheral blood of RA patients is significantly higher, which provides a basis for early diagnosis of the disease. At the same time,it is positively correlated with the active degree of RA disease.By detecting the amounts of PTX-3 in the blood of RA patients,it provides a basis for evaluating the active degree of disease. Therefore, the detection of PTX-3 level in blood plays an important part in the early diacrisis, early therapy and early discovery of disease recurrence, thus providing help for improving the prognosis of the disease.
