Objective To study the expression of DOC-2/DAB2 and Growth factor Receptor-Bound protein 2 (GRB2) in transition cell carcinoma of bladder (BTCC) and the correlation of DOC-2/DAB2 and GRB2,the clinical significance as well. Methods The expression of DOC-2/DAB2 and GRB2 were determined by immunohistochemical method in 64 cases of BTCC. The relationship between the expression of DOC-2/DAB2 and the clinicopathological features of BTCC was analyzed. Results The positive expression rates of the DOC-2/DAB2 and GRB2 in BTCC were 43.8% and 81.3% respectively, and there was a negative relationship between the expressions of DOC-2/DAB2 and GRB2 .The expressions of DOC-2/DAB2 were correlated with the pathological stage, and the expressions of GRB2 were correlated with the pathological grade. Conclusion Expression of DOC-2/DAB2 protein and GRB2 protein may indicate the early dignosis of the BTCC,DOC-2/DAB2 expression was significantly correlated with GRB2 expression.
