Background:Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease(IVCD) is a group of brain dysfunctions caused by blood insufficiency of the brain, which involves cramp, stenosis and occlusion of cerebral vessel caused by atherosclerosis, changes of blood components and hemodynamics. The worst outcome of IVCD is cerebral infarction which is a prevalent disease with a high deformity and fatality rate, threatening severely the public health. Current domestic and oversea reseaches reveal that there are many factors influencing prognosis of cerebral infarction by single factor analysis and multi-factors analysis. The specialities of economy, climate, culture, food, and custom in local region maybe lead to the difference in influential factors of the prognosis of cerebral infarction, compared with other regions in China. Therefore, A reseach on the factors influencing the short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarciton in local region is needed to provide evidence for treatment of cerebral infarction.Purpose To explore the related factors influencing on short-term prognosis of cerebral infarction. Methods 234 hospitalized patients with acute cerebral infarction were included in this prospective research. These patients were acessed by NIHSS and GCS on day 0 and by modified Rankin scale on day 15. Clinial informations of there patients were collected, including age,BMI,snore, stroke history, diabetes history, hypertension history, smoking, long-term alcohol history, systolic and diastolic pressure,NIHSS,GCS, electrocardiography(EEG) abnormities, complications ( lung infection, renal insufficiency, dysphagia), infarct location, and laboratory examination when hosptalized(blood sugar, TG, TC,HDL,LDL, LPa, uric acid,Fibrinogen). These data were statistically analyzed by method of single factor and multi-factors analysis. Results Single factor analysis showed that severity of cerebral infarction (NIHSS and GCS )was an independent risk factor of short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction ( P<0.01 ); lung infection, electrocardiographic abnormities and dysphagia bucking were important risk factors of short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction(P<0.05). The influences of age, BMI, snore, smoking, alcohol history, hypertension, diabetes, renal insufficiency, systolic and diastolic pressure, blood sugar, fibrinogen, triglyceride, uric acid, the time of hospital admission on short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction were not significantly different(P>0.05).Multi-factors analysis showed that severity of cerebral infarction ( NIHSS and GCS )were an independent risk factor of short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction( P<0.01 ) .Infection , electrocardiographic abnorminities and dysphagia were important risk factors of short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction(P<0.05).conclusion Severity of acute cerebral infarction is an independent risk factor for short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction. Complications of cerebral infarction including lung infection,EEG abnormities and dysphagia are the important risk factors for short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction.
