Objectiv:Through observing the expression of the apoptosis-related factors Survivin and Caspase-3 before and after chemotherapy of PT regime in cervical squamous cell carcinoma, the purpose of the study is to investiage the correlation between the expression and change of two factors in cervical squamous cell carcinoma with the neoadjuvant chemotherapy sensitivity and curative effect. Methods:The expression of Survivin and Caspase-3 before and af -ter chemotherapy of PT regime in cervical squamous cell carcinoma by immunohistochemical staining.Results:1.Among the 60 evaluable patients,2 showed complete remission, 36 showed partial remission,21 showed stable disease and 1 showed disease progression. The overall response rate to neoadjuvant chemotherapy(include CR and PR)was 63.33%.2.The expression of Survivin and Caspase-3 before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.(1):The positive rate of Survivin after NACT was lower than before NACT,there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).(2):The positive rate of Caspase-3 after NACT was higher than before NACT,there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).3.The expression of Survivin and Caspase-3 before and after chemotherapy in different clinical effective groups.(1):The expression of Survivin was significantly lower after NACT in clinically effective groups, there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05);The expression of Survivin was slightly lower after NACT in clinically non-effective groups, there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05).(2):The expression of Caspase-3 was significantly higher after NACT in clinically effective groups, there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05);The expression of Caspase-3 was slightly higher after NACT in clinically non-effective groups, there was no significant difference between them(P>0.05). 4.The relationship between the expression of Survivin and Caspase-3 before neoadjuvant chemotherapy and the sensitivity of chemotherapy.(1):The positive rate of Survivin before NACT in the complete remission and partial remission groups was lower than the stability and progress groups, there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).(2):The positive rate of Caspase-3 before NACT in the complete remission and partial remission groups was higher than the stability and progress groups, there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).5.The expression of Survivin and Caspase-3 both at before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy showed a negative correlation, there was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The change of Survivin and Caspase-3 after NACT correlate with the curative effect of NACT.Survivin expression reduced and Caspase-3 expression increased can be used as a predictor to effective chemotherapy of PT regime.2.The expression of Survivin and Caspase-3 before chemotherapy of PT regime correlate with the sensitivity effect of NACT.The high expression of Survivin in patients who with cervical squamous cell carcinoma to NACT had poor sensitivity; The high expression of Caspase-3 in patients had good sensitivity.
