Objetive:To investigate the techniques of 2-stage replacement for infected total knee r arthroplasty.And get a result of recent evaluation of the effect.Methods:Between January 2004 to February 2008,7 cases(two cases from our hospital,five cases from other hospital) infected knees after TKA were analyzed retrospectively in diagnosis and treatments.Seven knee,including 2 cases of men and 5 cases of women,age from 51 to 64 years old,the average age was 58 years old. All then 7 cases are the first time infection after replacement,They felt their sicks after relacement from 4 to 10 months,6 months on average.These cases of patients with joint activities in the range of 10°~95°,60°on average;HSS score:25 to 72points,an average of 48 points.5 cases of OA patients(of which there are three cases over 60 years old),RA patients with two cases,OA patients in one case of the merger with diabetes.After infection major clinical manifestations: the sexual swelling,pain,local Anhong,skin temperature higher effusion positive sign,joint activities of obstacles,laboratory examination of blood as normal,ESR increase,the average for this group is 47 mm/h(24~76mm/h),CRP increased to 16 mg/L(10~38g/L).Results:The seven cases' follow-up time for 8 months to 36 months,HSS score of 62 to 96 points,82 points on average;joint activities of 70°~150°,with no discomfort,No indicators of the testing anomalies.According to patients with symptoms improve,the knee joint activities,activities such as functional aspects of comprehensive evaluation,and achieved high satisfaction rate. Conclusion:2-stage replacement for infected total knee arthroplasty has certain infections.Timely diagnosis and decisive operation is essential.We also should actively prevent infection from occurring.
