Objective:To explore neural function rehabilitation and dynamic change of Nerve Growth Factor with needling cranial sutures combined with drugs for treatment of acute cerebral infarction. Methods:According to the clinical diagnostic criterion of the cerebrovascular disease in the forth national academic discussion of cerebravascular disease in Chengdu.45patients,ranging from 45to 75 years in age, were enrolled, male 27 and female 18,41 patients were completed the study. All patients were randomly divided into a medication group(A group) of 21cases and a needling cranial sutures plus medication group(B group) of 20cases,the patients of A group was taken treatment measures, such as controlling brain edema, reducing blood pressure and maintaining water, electrolyte and acid-base balanced, etc. In B group, besides the same treatment measures as A group, needling cranial sutures was performed from the third day of following onset, once daily,10 times constituting one course. In addition,20 healthy subjects between age 45 and 75 were served as a control group(C group) of normal concentration of Nerve Growth Factor observation time was from the third to fourteenth days, the scores of neural function defect, the dynamic change of Nerve Growth Factor and their correlation were compared.Results:(1)In A group, the scores of neural function defect didn't improved significantly between the third and eighth day(P>0.05),with significant difference between the eighth(or third) and fourteenth day respcetively(P<0.05,P<0.01).(2)There were significant difference in the scores of neural function defect between the third, eighth and fourteenth day in B group respectively(P<0.01).(3)A group compared with B group, there were not significant difference in the scores of neural function defect between the third and eighth day,but a significant difference in the fourteenth day(P<0.05).(4)There were not significant difference in the contents of blood NGF in A or B group in the third day(P>0.05),with significant difference in the eighth and fourteenth day(P<0.05).(5)The contents of blood NGF in the patients of acute cerebral infarction in both A and B group of the third, eighth or fourteenth day was obviously higher than that of the normal control group(P<0.01).(6)Compered with themselves, the contents of blood NGF of the third, eighth or fourteenth day in A or B group increased significantly(P<0.01).(7)The scores of neural function defect was highly correlated with the concentration of blood NGF in the third day(R=0.936,P=0.000),but not significant correlated in the eighth(R=0.330,P=0.074) or fourteenth day(R=0.328,P=0.079). Conclusions:(1)Both medication and needing cranial sutures plus medication for treatment of acute cerebral infarction can improve neural function, but clinical therapeutic effect of the latter is significantly supperior to that of the former.(2)The contents of blood NGF in the patients of acute cerebral infarction is significantly higher than that of normal blood NGF,it is suggested that blood NGF is in the increased process.(3)Needling the cranial sutures can accelerately promote the concentration of blood NGF in acute stage.(4)The scores of neural function defect was highly correlated with the concentration of blood NGF in the third day,but not significant correlated in the eighth or fourteenth day,may be there were not enough cases.(5)Needling the cranial sutures can improve the neural function of patients of cerebral infarction.
